Speech on Unity is Strength
Have you heard the farmer's story? A farmer was unhappy as his four sons constantly quarrelled and had no respect for each other. He brought a bundle of sticks and asked his sons to break the sticks. The sons could break each stick separately without much effort. But when he tied the sticks in a bundle, no one could break them. A clear message, if you remain united, no one can harm or break you.
The strength of unity
Unity is a powerful weapon, and there are innumerable incidences of accomplishing a goal through unity. Take India’s independence, for example. When the country's people joined forces against the British, the 200-year rule ended. The British government realised how difficult it was to fight the united strength of the ordinary people and handed over power in fear of losing the battle.
Advantages of being united
The benefits of being united are not just limited to a nation. Unity is also essential to overcome difficult times for a family, as it is equally important for teams at work, or even sports, to succeed. Even personally, I cannot forget the help and support of my classmates in updating me on the lessons and test questions when I could not attend school for a fortnight due to illness.
Conclusion
True strength emerges from unity. Whether for nations or communities, groups and families, unity is the magic potion that helps us stay strong in our character and attitude. When we stay together, respect each other and believe in common objectives, external sources and anti-social elements cannot disturb our harmony and peace. So let us take a vow to maintain unity and enjoy a life full of happiness and satisfaction.
